As the Bears try to sort through individual and team options to protest racial inequality, new safety Jordan Lucas is already set on what he wants to do.
Lucas, who signed as a free agent this offseason, said Tuesday he “110 percent” plans to kneel during the national anthem.
“In 2016, my rookie year, I was scared to kneel,” he said. “I didn’t want to lose my position on the team... I didn’t want to lose anything. But I think a lot of people are seeing right now its much bigger than the flag. we’re not disrespecting the flag, nor the military.
