Believe it or not, the Chicago Bears jumped up two spots in ESPN’s NFL Power Rankings after Sunday’s 24-21 loss to Washington.
The Bears check in at No. 19 in the latest poll released Tuesday.
How can this be?
Simple. This is hardly an endorsement for the Bears (1-6 at home/2-7 in the NFC), but rather an indictment on other teams.
Indianapolis plummeted (and rightfully so) four spots to No. 20 after its embarrassing 51-16 loss to Jacksonville. That helped the Bears.
Buffalo and Tampa both dropped four spots, which also moved teams up.
