The Chicago Bears placed wide receiver Marquess Wilson on injured reserve because of a foot injury and elevated safety Demontre Hurst to the active roster.
Wilson had a career-high 28 receptions for 464 yards and one touchdown before injuring his foot at practice last week.
Over three years with the Bears, Wilson (13 starts) has made 47 catches for 617 yards and two touchdowns.
Hurst has appeared in 18 games over two seasons with the Bears, primarily at nickelback. Hurst will wear No. 30.
Chicago’s starting nickelback, Bryce Callahan, is questionable for Sunday’s game against Washington with a quadriceps injury he, too, suffered on the practice field.
