As first reported by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Chicago Bears are re-signing defensive lineman Mario Edwards, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter has confirmed that it’ll be a three-year contract for the 27-year old Edwards.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo are reporting the three-year deal is for 11.55 million with him getting $4.5 million. I’m assuming the $4.5 is either a signing bonus or a guarantee, in which case it can be spread out over the three years of the contract.
The former 2015 second-round draft pick of the Raiders just put up a career high 4 sacks in a reserve role in his first season in Chicago.
