Offensive lineman Doug Kramer continues to keep himself in the mix with the Bears, and they re-signed him Tuesday to a one-year contract.
Kramer, a former standout at Hinsdale Central High School and the University of Illinois, was a sixth-round pick by the Bears in 2022. This will be his fourth season with the team in some capacity.
He missed all of his rookie season with a leg injury, but hung around on the practice squad and now has played 18 career games, including 16 last season. He was with the Cardinals for a little over a week in 2023, but otherwise has spent his entire career with his hometown team.
