Bears general manager Ryan Pace has had a busy Saturday.
Shortly after the signing of former Indianapolis Colts inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman, the Bears announced they have re-signed defensive lineman Mitch Unrein to a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old Unrein joined the Bears last September after being waived by the San Diego Chargers. Unrein spent the first four years of his career with the Denver Broncos and John Fox. He appeared in 16 games (14 with the Bears) last season, recording 33 tackles, one sack, two tackles for a loss and six quarterback pressures.
Unrein's agent tweeted a photo of his client celebrating his new contract with the Bears.
