Bears QB Caleb Williams sees 'slow growth' in offense, promises improvement

Bears rookie Caleb Williams is one of three quarterbacks to throw 50 or more passes in a game this season, and while that doesn’t seem like a viable path for their offense, Williams is willing to do it again if necessary.

“I’m a guy, and I said this to [offensive coordinator Shane Waldron] this morning, if I’ve got to throw the ball 50 times, I’ve got to throw the ball 50 times,” Williams said Wednesday before practice. “But if we’re getting four yards a pop in the running game, let’s keep doing that and let them be special.
