Bears quarterback Caleb Williams sported a new look Saturday — a tight haircut and with a white cast on his right throwing hand.

The reason, two league sources confirmed: Williams had elective surgery to remove a cyst. Neither he nor the Bears have any further concerns about the issue.

Williams was in attendance for Saturday’s Wisconsin-USC basketball game at the Galen Center in Los Angeles by Fox Sports cameras. The cast ran from his knuckles to below his right wrist.

Williams was not on the injury report with a hand, thumb or thumb injury all year.
