Late Saturday night, the Bears put backup safety Deon Bush on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
Bush did not test positive for the coronavirus; rather, he was a close contact for someone not associated with the team who did.
The Bears quarantined him in Nashville, Tenn., away from the team, on the eve of their game against the Titans on Sunday.
Bush is the fourth Bears player put on the list this week, though his case is unrelated to that of center Cody Whitehair and tackle Jason Spriggs, who have the coronavirus. Right guard Germain Ifedi was on the list because he was a close contact of Spriggs, but he was activated Friday and will start Sunday.
