Bears plan to re-evaluate Kyle Long's position after season

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Kyle Long’s journey along the Chicago Bears' offensive line might not be over.

“I know what we have for the next three games, so I know he’s going to be [at right tackle],” Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase said Thursday. “We’re going to keep him where he’s at and once we finish this year out, we’ll go back and re-evaluate and see what happens after that.”

Gase’s noncommittal long-term attitude toward Long at right tackle is understandable. The Bears have to be, at the very least, intrigued by the idea of moving Long to left tackle, the spot usually reserved for the best NFL offensive linemen.
