For the third straight season, the Chicago Bears have placed offensive lineman Kyle Long on injured reserve. Long would be eligible to come off of injured reserve after eight weeks, so with the original report on his recovery being 6 to 8 weeks, there’s a chance he could return for the season finale against the Minnesota Vikings.
To take Long’s place on the roster the Bears have signed running back Taquan Mizzell Sr. from their practice squad. Mizzell was used sparingly last season (three games, no stats), and he’s spent all of 2018 on the practice squad.
