The Chicago Bears announced the expected move of placing running back David Montgomery on injured reserve today, which means he’ll miss a minimum of three games. A report that surfaced earlier this week said he could miss about a month with a knee sprain. Montgomery hurt himself last Sunday against the Detroit Lions, and the FOX broadcast team refused to show the replay, so only missing a month seems like the best case scenario.
With Montgomery out it’ll be Damien Williams and Khalil Herbert as the top two tailback fill-ins on offense on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
