The Bears on Thursday added an explosive weapon to their offense by selecting West Virginia receiver Kevin White with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.
White blossomed as a senior last season, catching 109 passes for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns. He transferred to West Virginia in 2013 after spending two years at Lackawanna College.
The 6-3, 215-pounder started last season with a school-record seven straight 100-yard games and set another West Virginia mark for most receptions in a game with 16 against Texas.
