Bears officially release Marcus Cooper

The 2017 NFL free agency period is certainly a time of which Ryan Pace surely would like to forget. Along with fellow signees Mike Glennon and Markus Wheaton, defensive back Marcus Cooper has been informed his contract has been terminated. The Chicago Bears officially announced the news from their twitter account just moments ago.

Cooper leaves the team after finishing just his first year into a three-year deal signed last year. Originally signed as one of two projected starters at corner, Cooper eventually was benched in favor of a resurgent Kyle Fuller.
