When you're born a Bear it's only fitting that you play for the NFL's charter franchise.
The Bears made that possible on Thursday, signing tight end Bear Pascoe to a one-year deal.
Pascoe, 29, appeared in all 16 games with the Atlanta Falcons last season, catching two passes for three yards and a touchdown.
The veteran tight end has played in 82 games (34 starts) over six seasons with the New York Giants (2009-13) and Falcons (2014), registering 40 receptions for 336 yards and two scores.
Pascoe, originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Fresno State, was a member of the Giants team that defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
