The Bears’ new public address announcer will sound familiar to some Chicagoans.
Tim Sinclair, who has spent six seasons with the Chicago Fire and 10 with the University of Illinois, is taking over Soldier Field announcing duties.
He’ll replace Jim Riebandt, who retired at the end of last season.
“I’ve been a fan since I was a kid and watched the Bears win the 1985 Super Bowl,” Sinclair, who was born in Mahomet, said in a statement. “Now I get to be a fan with a microphone. Taking that seat at Soldier Field is an honor and a privilege, and I can’t wait to get started.
