The Chicago Bears may have received some relatively good news today if the report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is true. In a Tweet sent at 10 a.m. Thursday morning, he reported that “Bears starting RB David Montgomery, who went down in practice yesterday with a groin injury, is expected to be out 2-4 weeks, source said. That gives him a chance of being out on the field for the opener vs. the Lions.”
The Bears’ season opener is scheduled for September 13 in Detroit, which is exactly 17 days from today.
