Bears defensive lineman Ziggy Hood - a University of Missouri alum - spoke to Chicago media recently about everything transpiring on his former campus the last couple weeks.
After racial tension reached a boiling point at Mizzou, the football team joined the movement and refused to play until president Tim Wolfe stepped down.
Wolfe did, indeed, resign earlier this week and the protests have died down while the football team has resumed practicing.
"It was a good thing," said Hood, who played for Mizzou from 2005-08. "Everybody did it how you should - peacefully, no violence, anything like that.
