The Bears will continue trying to develop undrafted rookie quarterback Austin Reed, as well as many other popular characters from “Hard Knocks.” They filled 14 of 16 spots on the practice squad Wednesday with players who were with them in training camp.

There will be some shuffling, however. The Bears intend to add long snapper Scott Daly (Lions), wide receiver Samori Toure (Packers) and defensive tackle Sam Roberts (Patriots), a source said, so they need to clear one additional spot.

Daly, from Downers Grove, is a key pickup while Patrick Scales is out.
