Bears linebacker Roquan Smith is healthy. But he’s still not practicing.
One day after the Bears took him off of the physically unable to perform list, Smith wore a baseball cap, shorts and T-shirt to training camp practice at Halas Hall. He emerged about 45 minutes into practice, standing near rehabbing players. Five minutes later, he walked to the opposite field to stand with his fellow linebackers.
Smith reported to camp on time but refused to practice while awaiting a contract extension that still hasn’t come. The Bears put him on PUP to start camp but didn’t say why.
