The Chicago Bears will host a number of local players from surrounding high schools and colleges to their local workout day on April 13.
The latest name to leak is Park Forest, Illinois’ Nick Horne, a linebacker from Eastern Illinois and Rich East High School. Christian Shanafelt of the NFL Draft Bible was the first to report.
Horne wasn’t able to get any local colleges to host him for their pro day, but his film must have been enough for the Bears’ scouts to earn him an invite to Halas Hall.
Horne started his collegiate career at Division II Winona State as a safety before walking on at EIU where he converted to weak-side linebacker.
