On Wednesday the Chicago Bears designated inside linebacker Dany Trevathan to return from injured reserve, which opens a three-week window for the team to activate him to the roster. He was placed on IR before the start of the season with a knee injury, and league rules dictate that players only need to spend three weeks on the shelf this season.
In Trevathan’s absence the Bears have been starting Alec Ogletree next to Roquan Smith at the inside linebacker spot. Ogletree has 12 tackles, a quarterback hit, and a pass defensed in three games thus far while playing 62% of the snaps on defense.
