For those wondering what a corneal abrasion is, it’s a scratched cornea or a scratched eye, and according to allaboutvision.com, it is “one of the most common eye injuries.” Howard won’t even make the trip to Arizona, presumably so he can receive treatment on his eye, because “when treated right away, most corneal abrasions result in a full recovery with no permanent vision loss.
