GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Bears were hoping quarterback Nick Foles could be available as an emergency option Sunday, but they scratched him an hour and a half before kickoff against the Packers. Foles is inactive because of his hip injury, and the Bears will rely on practice squad quarterback Tyler Bray as Mitch Trubisky’s backup.
The Bears will also go without defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (hamstring), but left tackle Charles Leno (toe) will play.
It will be Trubisky’s first start since getting benched for Foles in Week 3, when his third-quarter interception led to the Bears falling behind the Falcons 26-10.
