Per multiple reports, the Chicago Bears are planning to hire Chris Rumph as their new defensive line coach. He spent the 2020 season coaching outside linebackers with the Houston Texans, but his coaching resume stretches back more than two decades.
Aaron Wilson, who covers the Texans for the Houston Chronicle, says that Rumph is “highly regarded” and is “known for his knowledge and development of players.”
That development shined with all the players he worked with during his time coaching in the college ranks, several of which went on to play professionally.
