Bears hire Brad Childress as offensive consultant

The Chicago Bears have hired Brad Childress as an offensive consultant, according to Sirius XM’s Adam Caplan.

Childress, 61, was most recently the assistant head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. He announced his retirement after the team’s loss to the Tennessee Titans, but it appears that that retirement was short lived. He served as Kansas City’s co-offensive coordinator alongside new Bears head coach Matt Nagy in 2016.

Childress is perhaps best known as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2006 to 2010.
