Bears head coach Matt Nagy tests positive for COVID, Tabor takes over

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced Monday that he has tested positive for COVD-19 and is quarantining.

Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will run team meetings in Nagy’s absence, it was also announced.

The fully vaccinated coach will be able to return to Halas Hall following two negative tests 24 hours apart.

The news broke at his usual Monday morning press conference, which was switched to Zoom just beforehand.

The Bears have an outbreak going through their building with four players from different position groups currently on the COVID list: OLB Robert Quinn, TE Jimmy Graham, OT Elijah Wilkinson and LB Caleb Johnson.
