The Bears received two compensatory draft selections — both in the sixth round — on Wednesday.
They’ll add the picks — No. 221 and No. 228 overall — as a result of an NFL formula that rewards teams who lose free agents that produce at a high level for their new team. That brings the Bears’ draft pick total up to eight.
For the first time ion three years, they’ll draft in the first round (at No. 20). They have one pick in in each of Rounds 2, 3 and 5, plus three in Round 6 and one in Round 7.
