The Chicago Bears aren’t going to be big players in the 2019 free agency frenzy, but with a couple in-house starters coming out of contract and a starter rumored to be on the trade block, we’re sure to get our fair share of rumors.
The early negotiation window will open at 11am today (Central time), so some agreed upon deals could be leaked at any time, but keep in mind nothing can be official until Wednesday, March 13 at 3:00 (Central) when the 2019 league year starts.
Getting awarded compensatory draft picks is something the Bears could have in mind when dealing with their own free agents and when deciding to add a street free agent or a player coming out of contract.
