Bears quarterback Caleb Williams spent Sunday doing the same thing he’d done for the last month: chase points.
The Lions scored 20 points before the Bears could score a single one Sunday and cruised to a 34-17 win inside a Soldier Field pock-marked with Honolulu-clad visiting fans. The Bears have lost nine in a row and play again Thursday night.
The Bears had been shut out in the first half in each of their previous three games, trailing by a total of 53-0 when they jogged to the locker room. Sunday was almost as bad — they were down 20 in the second quarter and trailed 27-14 at halftime.
