CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears became the 24th team in the last 15 seasons to go an entire game without being penalized, according to ESPN’s Stats & Information.
While the Bears were not whistled for a single infraction Sunday, the victorious Denver Broncos racked up eight penalties for 118 yards.
Prior to Sunday, the New England Patriots played the most recent penalty-free game, against the Houston Texans in Week 13 of the 2013 season.
Interestingly, Chicago is the first team to lose a game without committing a penalty since the Green Bay Packers dropped a home game to the Bears 27-20 in Week 9 of 2013.
