Bears president/CEO Kevin Warren and general manager Ryan Poles hold a news conference Monday morning, three days after they fired coach Matt Eberflus.
Friday marked the first time in franchise history that the Bears had fired a coach in the middle of the season. Warren and Poles chose not to have a press conference then. Instead, they’ll meet the media at 11:45 a.m. Monday, followed by interim head coach Thomas Brown.
The Bears fired Eberflus on Friday two hours after he did his day-after-game press conference. Sources said Warren, Poles and chairman George McCaskey were meeting about his status at the time.
