Bears down four starters after safety Quintin Demps fractures forearm

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears head coach John Fox announced on Monday that veteran safety Quintin Demps is out indefinitely after fracturing his left forearm in Sunday's 23-17 overtime victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“Don't know yet [if Demps is going on injured reserve]…we’re still evaluating that and I'll keep you posted,” Fox said.

The Bears will likely turn to third-year safety Adrian Amos on Thursday night in Green Bay. Amos, who took over for Demps in the final quarter of the Steelers game, was a fixture in Chicago’s starting lineup in 2015-16 before losing his job to rookie Eddie Jackson over the summer.
