The Chicago Bears will cut their roster to 53 players by 4 p.m. ET Saturday. Here’s a projection:
Coach Matt Nagy kept two quarterbacks on the active roster last season. Look for veteran Tyler Bray to be signed to the practice squad.
The top three are set -- Cohen, Davis and Montgomery. That leaves filling the fourth slot. Whyte -- drafted in the seventh round -- has good speed and value in the return game.
The offseason addition of Patterson -- a quality multipurpose threat -- almost forces the Bears to keep six receivers.
