The Bears have claimed tight end Chris Pantale off waivers from the New York Jets.

The 6-5, 254-pounder entered the NFL in 2013 with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College. After spending parts of the last two seasons on the Jets’ practice squad, he appeared in the final five games last year but did not catch a pass.
Pantale was a four-year contributor at Boston College, where he caught 98 passes for 986 yards and seven touchdowns in 46 career games.
