Ian Rapoport reports that the Bears have claimed OLB Lamarr Houston off of waivers from the Texans.
Houston, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2010. After four years in Oakland, the Bears signed Houston to a five-year, $35 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed.
The Bears placed Houston on injured reserve during the preseason and recently released him with an injury settlement. The Texans signed him to a contract last month only to waive him on Tuesday.
In 2017, Houston has appeared in five games and recorded seven tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a recovery returned for a touchdown.
