Bears camp begins and so do the injury concerns

Meanwhile in Bourbonnais…

About 40 minutes into the first non-padded practice of training camp (presented by 7Up!) Thursday at Olivet Nazarene University, rookie pass rusher Leonard Floyd left the field under his power and was taken on a cart to the locker room.

We know this because about 20 Bears reporters tweeted the news, though they couldn’t elaborate on any context. So everyone assumed the worst and a redux of last year’s Kevin White situation.

It was panic in these digital streets.

But after the practice ended, John Fox revealed that Floyd, the team’s first-round pick out of the University of Georgia, was just under the weather.
