Bears bring back backup quarterback Tyler Bray

The Bears have added perhaps the final piece to their quarterback depth chart. According to a report from ESPN reporter Field Yates, Chicago is bringing back backup quarterback Tyler Bray.

Chicago added perhaps their starting quarterback with their trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, in which they acquired Super Bowl-winning quarterback Nick Foles. The Bears can still bring in another quarterback but they will likely stick with Bray in a familiar role as a third-string QB behind whoever wins the QB-battle between Foles and incumbent starter Mitchell Trubisky.

Bray has been on and off the Bears practice squad since 2018 and also played with the Kansas City Chiefs—during Matt Nagy's tenure—in 2014 and 2017.
