Hours after introducing the five free agents they landed Wednesday, the Bears added a sixth Thursday when they inked outside linebacker Aaron Lynch to a one-year contract.
Lynch, 25, spent his first four NFL seasons with the 49ers. Selected by San Francisco in the fifth round of the 2014 draft out of South Florida, he has appeared in 44 games with 19 starts, recording 83 tackles, 15 sacks, 45 tackles and 28 tackles-for-loss.
Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio served in the same capacity with the 49ers in 2014 when Lynch recorded six sacks while playing in all 16 games with three starts as a rookie.
