The Bears bolstered their defense and special teams Tuesday, signing safety Chris Prosinski and linebacker LaRoy Reynolds and waiving safety Brock Vereen.
As teammates with the Jaguars, Prosinski and Reynolds were regular special-teams contributors. They'll join a unit with the Bears that has allowed 108- and 105-yard kickoff return touchdowns the past two weeks in losses to the Cardinals and Seahawks.
Prosinski appeared in 56 games with nine starts with the Jaguars (2011-14) and Eagles (2014) after being selected by Jacksonville in the fourth round of the 2011 draft out of Wyoming.
