With training camp less than two months away the Bears aren't done shoring up their roster.
The Bears announced on Thursday they have signed running back Daniel Thomas and safety Sherrod Martin to one-year contracts. Both players were with the Bears on a tryout basis during this week's minicamp.
Thomas, 27, was originally selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Kansas State. In 52 games with the Dolphins from 2011-2014 Thomas registered 1,480 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns and hauled in 55 receptions for three receiving touchdowns. Thomas notched 289 total yards and two touchdowns in 12 games with Miami last season.
