After losing rookie practice squad running back Kerrith Whyte Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, the Chicago Bears have filled that spot with running back Jeremy McNichols. The NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo was the first to report Chicago’s latest practice squad addition.
McNichols (5’9”, 205) was a 5th-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2017 NFL Draft after racking up over 2,100 yards from scrimmage for Boise State in 2016. He also spent some time with the San Francisco 49ers, the Indianapolis Colts, the Denver Broncos and most recently he was in camp with the Tennessee Titans where Bears‘ fans may remember him from the fourth preseason game when he ran 4 times for 9 yards and had a catch for no yards.
