The Bears activated punt returner DeAndre Carter from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, setting him up to resume his role Sunday against the Jaguars.
Carter tested positive Dec. 10 and missed two games. The Bears have been using wide receiver Anthony Miller in his place.
Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor spoke highly of Miller’s fill-in work, but emphasized how heavy the workload was with him pulling double duty on offense and special teams.
“I tip my hat to him,” Tabor said. “He’s been ready to go and I’ve been real pleased with him. But each week is a new challenge for us and these guys do a nice job of covering punts and we have our hands full there.
