Alshon Jeffery was questionable at the end of last week going into the St. Louis Rams game, bothered by a groin injury that hindered his effectiveness. The wide receiver was unable to practice Friday with a shoulder injury being added to the groin problem, darkening the cloud over his chances of playing Sunday against the Denver Broncos and their No. 1 passing offense.
The offense also will be without Eddie Royal (knee) for the fourth time in the last six games, while running back Matt Forte practiced on a limited basis and is questionable. Forte has missed the last two games with a knee injury suffered against the Minnesota Vikings.
