Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks returned to practice Saturday after not practicing Thursday or Friday because of an illness. Outside linebacker Khalil Mack also practiced after missing Friday’s practice with a sore back.
The return of Hicks and Mack leaves the Bears fully manned — even if not 100% — for their game against the Rams on Monday Night Football at SoFi Stadium. Cornerback Buster Skrine, who missed practice Thursday and Friday with an ankle injury, participated in practice Friday.
Hicks arguably has been the Bears’ best defensive player this season. He has 3.5 sacks — second on the Bears behind Mack’s 4.
