INDIANAPOLIS -- Following a third missed field goal in eight attempts in 2016, Chicago Bears kicker Connor Barth said he would not be surprised if the team starts checking out free-agent kickers.
"No. Nothing surprises me these days," Barth said. "It's the NFL. I just have to go back to work. Those are kicks I usually make. I got to make them."
Barth, signed to replace the Bears' all-time leading scorer, Robbie Gould, began Week 5 on a high note – hitting from 35 and 49 yards – but ran into trouble in the third quarter.
