Adam Gase thinks Alshon Jeffery's return could open up the offense

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Adam Gase is still figuring out how to use Alshon Jeffery.

That may sound funny given Jeffery's accomplishments. Jeffery became the fourth player in Chicago Bears' franchise history with 1,000 receiving yards in consecutive seasons (1,421 in 2013 and 1,133 in 2014). He made the Pro Bowl in 2013 when twice eclipsed 200-yards receiving in a single game.

However, Jeffery is kind of a relative unknown to this coaching staff. Calf and hamstring injuries have sidelined him for eight of the nine combined games in the preseason and regular season; robbing Gase of the chance to utilize and game plan for the star receiver.
