FAIRFIELD, Ohio — When Jackson Carman was on an unofficial visit to USC in June, some of the freshmen Trojans he was with heard he could cook, that he had once thought about going to culinary school. They challenged him to cook something good for breakfast, doubting he could do anything special with a few eggs and some bread.
Dare Carman or engage in a debate with him one time. You'll see what happens.
There's always pushback.
So Carman went to the grocery store with a handful of these guys, bought more than $100 worth of food and supplies — it was move-in week at USC so guys needed pans and spatulas — and he cooked up a smorgasbord that fed eight people.
