The Chicago Bears have been looking (and looking) for a new kicker this off-season. After the mess that was Cody Parkey, the Bears knew they couldn’t waste another potential stellar season on a missed field goal.
Parkey flushed the 2018 season down the toilet, so the Bears want a young, reliable kicker that can be splitting the uprights at Soldier Field for years to come. After the Bears brought in eight kickers at rookie minicamp, all who failed to impress, the Bears quickly tried to fix the situation by trading for Oakland Raiders kicker Eddy Pineiro.
Pineiro was set to be the Raiders kicker last season when a groin injury a few weeks prior to the season starting put him on the IR for the season.
