With their second pick in the NFL Draft, the Bears chose Utah CB Jaylon Johnson in the second round at No. 50 overall.
Johnson likely will get an opportunity to win a starting job opposite Kyle Fuller. The Bears released veteran Prince Amukamara this offseason, and the returning players competing to replace him are all unproven.
The Bears began their draft with No. 43 on Friday by taking Notre Dame tight end Cole Kmet. He was the first player at his position chosen. He had 43 catches, 515 yards and six touchdowns for the Fighting Irish last season.
